Blument~mll and other residents were in and complained about the increase in their property taxes and they were told to pay them under protest and make their claim at the equallzatlonlboard which meets the fourth monday in June. Several residents from 41st Avenue were in complaining~about the Hatchery on 41st and Central and they were assured this would be investigated and remedied, i Erling Drang~id was informed there would be no objection to a pop Corn S~and on Central Avenue. ~otion by Jackson seconded by Weldon, that the request of J.A. Resolution offered by S~ekulant, seconded by J~.ckson, WHEREAS, Special assessments on Job No.12S for Lot 1S Block $1 qol~mmbia Heights An. hex, in the amount of $44.75 has previously been referred to the County Auditor to be levied; and, WHEREAS, such assessments have been paid in full to the City Treasurer of Colu~ubia Heights (Dec.15, 19~6); BE IT t~EREBY RESOLVED by the City Counc of the ?City of Columbia Heights that the County Auditor be and he hereby is authorized to cancel from the assessment rolls the assessments against said lot. Resolution offered by Spekulant seconded by Jackson, WHEREAS, on July 2, 1946 a resolution was passed by the City Council instructing the County Auditor to remo~e fnom the assessment rolls certain special assessments levied for Job #1~3 agaist Lot 18 Block 46 Columbia Heights Annex; and, WHEREAS, such resolution should have covered the Special assessments for Job #123 agaimst Lot 18 Block 4V instead; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the County Auditor be and he is hereby instructed to cancel from the assessment rolls the special assessments for Job No.123 against Lot 18 Block 47 Columbia Heights Annex, as said assessments have been paid in full. Resolution offered by Jackson seconded by Nygaard, BE IT_ HEREBY RE- SO~LVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the Cit~ Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer the sums of $2,000, $3,000 and ~'3,000 from the Liquor Fund to the Fire, ~Itreet and police & Court Funds; and that there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfers.
