~leeting called to order at 8:10 P.M. All members present.
Kinutes of last regular and special meetings were read and approved.
A number of residents from 38th Avenue were in again regarding an
alley being completed and several other.matter they wanted taken
care of and they were assured this would be taken care of as soon
as possible.
~Ir. John Koour 4053 gan Buren St., was present and asked for
a permit to operate an uphoiatering shop in his garage ~nd he was
informed this would be granted if he could get the approval of the
residents within 300 feet of his p!ace. ~
Mr. Joe Kowal of ~ Central Ave. was in and asked if the Ordinance
could be changed to allow dancing in taverns in Columbia Heights and
he was informed this would be taken under consideration.
Second reading of Ordinance No.~20 regarding a new Franchise with
the Minneapolis Gas Ligh~ Cq. Motion by Nygaard seconded by
Spek~lant to accept this Franchise. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.

~jotion by Jackson seconded by Nygaard, that check issued in February
to Emll Talbo~ be cancelled. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.

W.~. Crickmer, parade Ma~sha!l V.F.W.: Post 230 and American Legion
post 367, be placed on file. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.

allowed:

Notion by Spekulana seconded by Nygaard, that permit be granted the
lforthern States Power Co. to install a pole at Benjamin and 45th
Avenue. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Weldon seconded by Jackson, that permit be granted to
Gabriel Vogt,3957 Polkto ocqupy a trailer for 60 days. Roll Call-
All Ayes.

on 7th St. between 44th and 45th Avenue .be turned over to the City
~,~anager. Roll Call - All 'Ayes.
Resolution offered by Nygaard, seconded by Jackson, BE IT HEREGY
AEBO[~ED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that
the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to ~transfer the
sum of ~3,000 from the Ljquor Fund to the Street Fund; and that
there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfer.
