Minutes of the last r~lar meeting were read and approved. A resolution was offered by Spekulant and seconded by Nygaard, The City Council of the City of Columbia Heights resolves that; ~EREAS, the Water Works Committee of the City of Minneapolis has received applications from residents of the City of Columbia Heights for permission to botain water tapping permits to existing city of Minneapolis watermain located in Hayes Street within the City of Columbia Heights and WKEREAS, it is for the preservation of good will and co-operation between the two cities that such applications be continued to be approved. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to contact said committee and arrange to have such applications approved. Roll Call - All Ayes A motion was made by Nygaard and seconded by Weldon. to place the communications on file regarding wages of city employees. Roll C211 - All Ayes. Motion was made by Weldon and seonded by Nygaard to re-imburse the Northern Coach Co. $1,000.00 on the building bought from the Steel Structures, Inc. Roll Call - All Ayes. A letter was received regarding the placing of benches at street car stops at various places. This was discussed and the communication was turned over to Wes Neldon as he was going to take this matter up with the business men and get their views on the 'matter. A resolution was offered by Spekulant and seconded by Nygaard, that the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights resolves that; ;~HEREAS, the Sidewalk assessment for Job #122 for lots 16 and 1V Block 52, has been paid in full to the City treasurer. Be it there- fore resolved that the County Auditor be and he is hereby instructed to cancel said assessment from the assessment rolls. Roll Call - All Ayes. Resolution offered by Spekulant and seconded by Weldon, BE IT HEREBY RESO][V ed by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer the sum of ~. 30, 000..00 from the Liquor Fund to the P.I.R. fund; and that there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfer. Roll Call - All Ayes. Resolution offered by Spekulant, seconded by Weldon, BE IT B~REBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer the sum of $300.00 from the Liquor Fund to the Mayors Contingent Fund; and that there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor fund to make such transfer. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion was made by Weldon and seconded by Spekulant, on recommendation ~$ the Charter Commission, the City Clerk be and ~s~hereby instructed to have Ballots printed for the City Election to be held December 2Vth, providing that Section 24 of Chapter 3 of the Charter of the City of Columbia Heights, relating to ammending and repe~ling of ordinances and resolutions, s~lt~, read~~ as follows: Section 24. Ammendment and repeal of Ordinances and Resolutions. Any Ordinances may be repealed by reference to its title, number and date of passage; and any section of an ordinance to be ammended and repealed, shall contain verbatim, the section thereof to be a=~nended, together with the ammended form thereof.
