A letter was read which was received from Eayor Nordin Containing his
resigm_ation. A ~otion was made by Spekulant, seconded by Weldon to
table this until a special meeting to be held on November 13th. Roll
Call - All Ayes.
Motion was made by Jackson, seconded by Speku~ant to adjourn.

Motion was made by Spekulant and seconded by Weldon, that David Jackson
act as temporary Chairman. Roll Call All Ayes.
Eotion was made by Wetdoh and seconded by ~ekulant that the letter of
Ann ~cCann requesting certificate of occupancy for garage be tabled.
Roll Call I All ~Ayes.
~otion was made by Spekulant and seconded by Weldon, that we accept
the resignation of John H. Nordin as Eayor, which we received at the
last regular meeting. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resolution offered by Spekulant and seconded by Nygaard~ that Whereas, by
r~ason of the resignation of John H. Nordin as Mayor of the City of
Columbia Heights has been presented to the council, a~d Whereas a vacancy
now exists for that office, Therefore be it resolved that the City Council
of the City of Columbia Heights have a Special Election to be held to~
fill the office of the ~ayor for the City of Col~mbia Hei-~ats. Date for
the Primary Election to be December O, 19~0 date for ~eneral Election
to be December ~7~, 19~O . Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resolution offered by Spekulant, seconded by Weldon, to transfer $~00.00
from Liquor Fund to Mayors contingent fund. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Weldon, seconded by Nygaard that David Jackson act as Nayor
Pro Tem, until a successor is duly elected and qualified. Roll Call -
All Ayes.
Motion by Nygaard, seconded by Spekulant, that meeting be adjourned.
