Heights".

Motion by Jackson seconded by Lathrop that request from Firs Depart-
ment to hold a~nuaL festiva~ on city property, JuLy g$, 27, and 28th,

regard to working Bhe men in his department overtime. To ask the
Cemmission to hold examination from which to get more men on zist to
work with.

by the r. ity. ~,our~cil of the City of Columbia Heights THAT WHEREAS the
City owns considerable real estate suitable for industrial sites and
wM?,REAS, it would best suit the interest of the City to make knowz~ to
the public that such sites exist. WME~,AS, it would greatly bet, slit
the City to have said property put to use. NOW therefore, be it re-
solved by the ~,ity Council o£ the ~,ity of Columbia Heights that the
~,ity make available for nomiaal sums, either by rent or sale, such
property above referred to, as private industrialists will construct
buildings upon and develop commercial industry within the City.

file and that expenses be granted to any city employee in these de-

Notion by Nygaard seconded by Spekulant to suspend reading of the
minutes. Roll Call - Ali ayes.
Two residents of $8th and Polk Street present at meeting in regard
to garage being remodeled by Nr. ~has. Ferraro at $858 Polk St.
This matter turned over to Building Inspector and City Attorney for
invest igat ion.
A group of taxpayers from the City was present at meeting to register
their objections to the passing of the pin bail machine ordinance. Dis.
