First reading of Ordinance to amend Ordinance ~i96 being an ordinance
providing for the licensing of Taxicabs.
Resoluticn by Nygaard seconded by Spekulant - BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY OF COLU~BIA HEIGHTS$ WHEREAS, there have been issued licenses
for the operation of taxicabs in the City of Cozumbia Heights, and
WHEREAS, the ordinance regulating the operation thereof provides
that rates to be charged by said taxicabs shall be fixed by resolution
of the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights; THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the rates to be c. harged for conveyance by taxicabs in
this ~,ity shall be Twenty-five ($.25) cents for the first tv~_-thirds
mi~e and Ten ($.i0) Cents for each additional one-half mile.

Resolution offered by Spekuiant seconded by Jackson - BE IT HEREBY RE-
SOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the
yearly license for any moving picture theatre in the City of Columbia
Heights shall be set at Fifty Dollars (~50.00) per year. BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVEDthat such license sha~l expire on the 31st of December and that
when eight months have expiredof the license year the fee shal~ be one-

SOLVED by the City Council of the Oity of ~oiumbia Heights that the
~,ity Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer the sum of
$2830.00 from the Liquor Fund. to the Street Maintenance Fund; a~d that
there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfer.
