Regular meeting called to order November 26th, 194~. All members ~resent.
Previous minutes read and an~roved with correction, viz: vote on motion a~ointing Mrs.
Pritchard, Secretary to the Council for the evening of Nov. 12th. Pritchard not vot-
ing.
Opening of bids on dump trucks. Laid aside until Thursday, Nov. 28th.
Motion by Bentzen, seconded by S~ekulant to nlace the comnmnication from the Fire Dept.
regarding the recommendation of the American L~France Fire Truck, on file. Roll call
all aves.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bentzen, to place the telegram from the International
Assn of Machinists, regardin~ the Union status of the American LaFrance and the Mack
Truck Co. on file. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Benz~n, seconded by Jackson, to accApt the following collateral o~fered by
the Columbia Heights State Bank:
Federal Housing Administration loan guaranteed by the United States
Treasury as follows: $2400. John D Atkinson, 1110 Gould Ave.

Motion by Pritchard]g seconded by Soekulant that the request of N W. Bell Tel. Co. for
permission to place on pole on the south side of 45th Ave N E. at the alley between

Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Jackson, to accent the bid of the Mack Truck Compan~

Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bentzen, to t~01e the truck business until Thursday.

Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Spekulant that the City Manager write Mr. C C. Ludwig
of the League of Minnesota Municipalit&es and inform him that the Council is in accord
with his letter and much in favor of increasing the b~nd~ from $500. to $5000.

C0LUM~IA HEIGHTS HEREBY RESOLVE~: That in all cases where the ~ost of a local i~rove-
merit is paid from funds in the Five Thousand Dollar Revolving Fund the rate of interest
charged on deferred payments of the special assessment for such improvement sha~l be
