~ts Stats BanX re~arding vacating the premises now Occupied by the City Offices and also
a letter to the Supt. of N. P. Ry. regarding cinders, be placed on file. Roll mall - Ail

onded by Jack,on, to t~rn same over to ~he City Manager to get prices on 90 minute park-
.ing signs and if he can get any assistance from the State .~ighway, he should do so.

motion picture theatre. Roll call - Zll ayes.
.Motion by ~ritchard, seconded by Spekulant that the Alumni Ass'n. be granted a permit
-to hold a dance Thursday evening, npril 25th at the nigh School and that the fee be
-waived. Roll call - all ayes.
-Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bentzen, that the request of Russell Ash to operate a
fruit and vegetable stand at 3701 Central ave. be denied. Roll call - all ayes.
Garbage bids: John Behun - $25.O0 per month. - Albert Frischmon - $2~.00 per month.
Motion by Pritchar~, seconded by Spekulant to accept the bid of John Behun for garbage
collection at $25.00 per month - twice weekly from April 15tm to Oct. l~th and once
w~ekly from ~ct. l~th to April 15th. B~ll call - Ail ayes.

Resolution ofi'ered 5y ~entzen, seconded by Spekulant - ~¥HEREAS, a petition to ln~tall
sidewalks on 42nd Ave. N. E. between between Central Ave. and Lot #3~ block #3~ ~n the ....
Nort~ side of said street and lot #9 Bl~ok 4 on the South side of said street; and,
'~HEREAS, said petition has been referred to the City =anager for investigation and re-
port on the requisite number of signatures; THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA
HEIGHTS HEREBY RESOLVES: Section 1. That the City Council hereby finds and determines
that said petition ~r said improvement is sig~md~y the resident owners of more than
515 of the real estate to be assessed for said improvement. Section 2. The City Council
hereby determines to install sidewalks on both sides of ~2nd ~ve. between Central Ave.
and lot #~ln block #~ ~ on t~e North aide of the street, and lot #9, block #~, on
the south side of said street and assess the costs e.C ~e same against the abutting pro-
perty. Section 3. That the City Manager be directec to estimate the costs of said im-
provement and draft a list of the several lots or parcels of land ~ronting upon such
proposed improvement which is benefitt'ed thereby, further, that the City ~anager report
back to the Council on said improvement as soon as may be. Boll call - All ayes.

chase s street sweeper to attach to the truck. Roll call - all ayes.
