Notion by Bentzen, seconded by Jackson, that the application of the Fire De~t. to sponsor the Jubilee be granted, with the stipulation that they ha~e a Halloween party for the children. Roll call - All ayes. Op~ning of gas bids. Anoka County Co-op - 3 cents less than service station price. Hei'ghts Trading Post. - 3~. cents less, or ~above tank wagon price. Notion by Pritchard, to accept the lowest gas bid submitted by Heights Trading Post for 3~ cents less than service station price, or ~ cent above tank wagon price. Notion lost without a second. Notion by Spekulant, seconded by Jackson, that the bid of the Heights Trading Post for~ cent above tank wagon price, be accepted. Rol~ call all ayes. Notion by Bentzen, seconded by Jackson, that Nr. Andrew Spekulant's appoi~tment by the Library Bamrd as Council representative, be ratified. Roll call - All ayes. Ordinance #168 offered by Jackson, seconded by Spekulant, being an ordinance to regulate the riding of horses on streetS, alleys or any other public highways within the City of Columbia Heights. Roll call All ayes. Notion by Pritchard, seconded by Jackson, that the above ordinance be published by posting. Roll call - All ayes. Re~lution offered by Pr~tchard, ~econded by Bentzen, The City Council of the City of Columbia eights hereby re~olves: That the~ City Treasurer be and she hereby is authorized and directed to transfer the sum of $1OO. from the Liquor Fund to the Water Fund ahd the City Council hereby finds tha~ there is sufficient monies in the Liquor fund to make such transfer.
