Previous minutes read and approved.
Mr. Thomas, new N Y.A. Supervisor heard from with re£erence to NYA activities.
Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Soekulant that the let~er from l~. R. J Ross
regarding damages to his property by the City, be placed on file. Roll call -
All ayes.
Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Soekulant t~t the Oity l~an~ger be instructed to
concur with l~r. Ross' request, within reason. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Pritchard, that the Fire Dept. be allowed $40.00
to help defray expenses of Fire Prevention Week, payable to H 0stmoe, Treas. of
the Fire Dept. Roil call - All ayes.
Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Spek~ant that the above be taken out of the
Liquor Fund. Roll call - All ayes.
Rew&lution offered by Pritchard, seconded by Bentzen, Be It Resolved by the City
Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that check ~4034 dated Becember 28, 1938
in the ~unount of $3.20 be and is hereby ordered cancelled. Said check was issued
to Miller-Davis Com0any and lost. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Spekulant, seconded by Bentzen, that the ~ agreero~nt between Mr.
and Mrs. Pope, David R. Johnson ~ud the City of Columbia Heights(easement) be
accepted and a check issued to David R. Johnson in the ~zmount of $100. out of the
proper fund. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Pritchard, that the request of Mr. NcCann to move
his ice and candy shack from lot ~ or AS, block 8~ to lot 17, block 60, be re-

1st reading of Ordinance $1~A, being an ordinance to vacate a portion of a street.
Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Soekulant authorizing the City Treasurer to issue
a check in the amount of $43.7§ to Nellie l~orrow and her attorney in settlement of
her claim. Roll call - All a~ves.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bentzen, authorizing the City Treasuwer to issue a
check in the amount of $43.78 to Chas. Morrow and his a~torney in settlement of his
claim. Roll call - All ayes. ~

Letter from members of the local N Y.A. advisory Co~nittee regarding setting aside
the sum of $1B00. for NYA for next 8 months as Col. ~ts s?~re towards furthering
local NYA projects.
Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Jackson, that the olat for ~.A.E. Anderwon be
accepted and that all future homes built on 5th St. (East side) between 4§th and
46th be set back 48 ft. Roll call - All ayes.
