Meeting called for the purpose of taking up the Tarvia bids and an~ other bu8~ ness which might come before the meeting. Barrett Co. bids - $.1025 per gal. Republic Creosoting Co. - $.1125 per gal. Motion by Severson, second~dbyBentzen, that the bid of the Barrett Co. be accepted. Roll call - Ail a~es. ~reamble to Ordinance $162 and Ordinance $162 offered by Pritctiard, seconded by Severson - Being au ordinance authorizing the issuance of 0ertificates of Indeb- tedness of the City of Columbia Heights in the amount of $24,090.04 to defra~ the expenses incurred or to be ind~rred in making local improvements Nos. 42,44, 61,62,63,64,$5,86,67,68,69,70 and 71 and fixing the form thereof. Roll call - All a~es. Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Pritchar~, that the request of Rose Buhil for cancellation of her restaurant, off and on sale licenses be ~ granted. Roll call - All a~es. Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Pritchard, that the aoolications of Roy Gale for restaurant, off and on sale licenses be laid over the usual two weeks. Roll call - Ail a~es. Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Severson, that James McKenna be paid additional compensation for the time he worked as City Manager Pro Tem, in the amount of $~0. Motion by Severson, seconded by Pritchard, that a Zoning and Planning Board Be appointed to consist of the ftllowing: Ms,For, City Attorney, City Engineer, Mr. Geronsin; Mr. TJosvold, Mr. J. Semau and Mr. Pa~ Dahlgren. Roll call - all ayes. Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Wohlford, that the recommendation of the Mayor appointing P~ul Eordiak as a Police Commissioner in place of Ralph Crisp who re- signed, be ratified.
