Delegation from 42nd Ave. comolaining about the Tarvia job. Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Wohlford, that 1.,~. Wickimmbe granted a building oermit subject to the Building Ordinance. Roll call - all ~yes. Motion by Wohlford, seconded by Pritcha~d, that a building oermit be granted to ~'. Urspringer, bu~Ject to the Building Ordinance. Roll call - All ayes. Motion by Severson, seconded by Pritchard, that a permit be granted to connect a orivate water main on 39th & Johnson. Roll call - All ayes. (Subject to the Plumbing in- spector's okey. Motion by Severson, seconded by Pritchard, that Chester McCallum be granted an ice license ( cash & Carry) for Faest Park. Roll call - All ~yes. Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Wohlford, that the letter from W.~.A. on file. Roll call - all ayes. (Regarding accomplishments of W.P.A. Drogram in Minn.) Motion by Se~rson, seconded by Bentzen, that Paul A. Davis be granted a building per- mit. Roll call all ayes. Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Severson, that any members of the Council wishing to attend the League Convention at Albert Lea, June 14,15, & 16th. ~l~be allowed $~0. expense money. Motion by Severson, seconded by Bentzen, that the crimes on back trope be turned over to the Park Board. Wolfe be and they hereby are declared to be elected as candi- dates for the office of Mayor at the Regular Municipal Election to be held June 12, 19S9. That Andrew Spe~ulatn, J. F. Geronsin, David Jackson and Melvin Gustafson be and they hereby are declared to be elected as candidates for the office of Councilman at the Regular Election to be held June 12, 1939. That Joseph E. Mees 32.50 7.50 Resolution offered by Pritchard, seconded by Bentzen - A Resolution determining to m~ke the following local improvement, to-wit: to construct curb and gutter on Madison St. from A0th Ave. to 41st Ave. ]~e It Resolved by the Council of the City of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, that it is advisable, expedient and necessary to undertake and this Council does hereby determir,~ to make the following local i~pro~ement, to-wit: to construct curb and gutter on Mall- son St. from ~0th to 41st Ave., which said improvement shall be hereafter known and designated as #Local Improvement No. 70. That the City Man ger be and hereby ie ordered to make a careful estimate of the cost of such improvement together with a list of the several ~ots and parcels of land fronting upon and adjacent to such proposed improve- ment which he deems benefited thereby, and the names 0f the owners of the sev.~ral parcels as nearly as can be ascertained. That the City Engineer, be and he hereby is authorized and directed to prepare plans and specifications for maE-lng said improvement and submit the same to this 0ouncil for approval. That the 0ity Manager be and he hereby is ordered to make a careful estimate of the cost of suc]a improvement together with a list of the several lots and parcels of ladd fronting upon and adjacent to such proposed improvement which he deems benefited thereby, and the names of the owners of the several parcels, as nearly as can be ascertained.
