Regular meeting called to order Ma~ 9th, 1939. All members present with the except&~n
of Mr. Pritchard who was ill.
Previous minutes read and anDroved.
Motion by Bentzen,.seconded by Wohlford, that Jacob Tchelisnig, 4148 Quincy St. be granted
a buildingpermit for 8# blocks, loll call - All a~es.
Motion by Severson, seconded by Bentzen to include curb and gutter and sidewalk in the
resol~tion pertaining to Madison St., from AOth to 41st and that the City Manager contact
Mr. Nood,v on same. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Severson, seconded by Wohlford, that ~ building vermit be granted for 42R4
Jackson St. Roll call - All a~es.
MotiOn by WohlforA, seconded by Bentzen, that L. 2onwart be granted a restaurant license
for 3851 University Aw. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Severson, seconded by Bentzen, that Lester Marcy be granted a building permit
for W. 1/2 of Lot 6, Block 13. Roll call - All aves.
Motion by Severson, seconded by Bentzen, that a building permit be granted to Theo. Noyd
Block 9 ~ot 3, Waltonls Su~n~ Acres 3rd. Roll call - Ail a~es.
Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Severson, that the City Treasurer be instructed to get all
necessar~ information before requests for building permits come before the Council, -
plats, estimated cost, etc. Roll call - Ail aves.
Motion by Wohlford, seconded by Bentzen, that the letter from the State Board of Electrici-
ty be laid on the table until next meeting. Roll call - Ail a~es.
Motion by Severson, seconded by Wohlford~ that the City Manager be instructed to check up
on 43rd & Jefferson St. and fix it up temporarily and report back the next meeting. Roll

Resolution offered-by Severson, seceded by Wohlford, The City Council of the City of
Columbia Heights hereby resolves: That a request be, and the same hereby is made to the
Postmaster of the Minneapolis Post Office, or tu such other official as ma~ be charged
with the d~y of remitting the rent to the City-of Columbia Heights for the Colunbia
Heights Bra~ch Post Office, that in the future the #ReceiDt~ which accompanies the check
be made out in such a way as it may be signed by the City Treasurer alone. Roll

ColumbSa Heights hereby resolves: That the City Treasurer be authorized and instructed
