Meeting called for the purpose of selecting a new City Manager and any other bustze ss which might come before the meeting. MotionbyPritchard, secomiedby Severson, that the letter from David R. Johnson, 4305 - 2n~ St. N E., with reference to damages to the property, be turned over to the City Attorney for investigation. Roll call - Ail a~es. Motion by Severson, seconded bY Wchlford, that D. ~. Johnson, be allowed to move onto his lot at Silver Lake in a trailer aa long aa he lives up to the Health Ordinance. Roll call - Ail ayes. Motion by Severson, seconded by Bentzen, th~ Jacob Tchelisnig be granted a building permit for enlarging parch on Lot B7, block A0, Columbia Heights Annex. Roll call - Ail ayes. Motion by Wohlford, seconded by Severson, that Joseph Wojak be granted a building permit for 3700 - ~ St. Roll call - All a~es. Motion by Wohlford, seconded byBentzen, that the letter from E. A. Carlson covering board action taken March llth as to ~Oth Ave. peoJect, be placed on file. Roll call - all a~es. Motion by ~mverson, seconded by Bentzen, that the letter from Gust Holm with reference to the Gas Co. getting plumbing permits, be turned over to the City Attorney to take proper steps. Roll call - All a~es. Resolution offered by Pritchard, seconded by Severson. The City C~xncil of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolveA3 That P. Theodore 01mson be and he hereby is hired for the position of City Manager of the City of Col- imBia Heights commencing J,mue 1, 1939 at a salary of $~0. per month. That his duties be that of City Manager and City Engineer. Roll call - A~es: Bentzen, PritcBerd, Severson, Wohlford, Bassett. Nays: None.
