Regular meeting called to order April l!th, 1939. All members present.
Previous minutes read and approved~ with correction on Civil Service Com;aission appoint-
ment - vi~; to change the name of Peter Gannon to St~ve Gravelle ~
Mr. M. J. C. Nyborg heard from with reference to the City .~rchasing a bronze pla~e
for the. Field House.
Motion by Severson, sec~lded by Pritchard to turn the above over to the Park Board
for their recommendation to the 0ouncil. Roll call - All a~es.
Motion by Bentzen, secom~ed by Severson, that the Columbia Mother's Club be granted
a permit for a dance April 21st, and that the fee be waived. Roll call - Ail a~es.
Motion by lohlford, seconded by Bentzea that Milton G. Ouimette be granted a building
permit to repair house located at 4~49 - 5th St. N E. Roll call- All a~es.
Motion 1~ Pritchard, seconded by Severson, that the petitions feom the Great Northern
League, Ladies Pioneer Bowling Ass'n and the Tttesda~ Bowling League, be turned over
to the Park Board. Roll call - Ail a~es.
Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Pritchard, that the City 0~.uncil go on record as placing
confid~nce in and recommending to the Park Board that they give the above petitions
their ~tmost consideration. Roll call - All a~es.
Motion by Severson, seconded by Bentzen, that a building permit be granted to Joe Tens
4119 - ~nd St. Roll call- Ail ayes.
Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Pritcbard, that a building permit be issued for 4~2~ M_~!n

Motion by Bentzen, seconded by Severson, that the membership in the Municipal Finance
0fficerts Asstn be rene~ed at $10. per year. Roll call- All ayes.

Ordinance ~158 offered by Severson, seconded by Wohlford, Being an Ordinance creating
a Park Board of the City of Columbia Heightm and providing for the administration of
Park~ in the City of Columbia Heights by such Park Board. Roll call - Ail ayes.

ing a commission to plan for the physical development of the City of Columbia Heights
as aut?,orised by Laws of 1937, Chapter 2~7~ and to recommend a zoning plan for adoption

The City Council of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves: That there be
transferred from the 'Liquor Fund' to the Water Fund the sum of $250. and the 0ity
Council hereby finds that there is sufficient surplus monies in the 'Liqpzor Fund'
to m-ko such transfer. And it is further resolved that when there is sufficient
money in the Water Fund that the ~50. transferred to it by this resolution be
replaced in the Liquor Fund and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and in-
structed to make such transfer. Offered by Pritchard, seconded by Bentzen. Roll

Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Bentzen, that the City Treasurer by A-?~tructed not
to ~a~ any Park bills unless authorized by the Park B_-_-?d and not to ~resent same to
