Motion by Severson, seconded by Pritchard, to grant Hilltop ~olf Co~rse a res- taurant, off and on sale license. Roll call - All ayes. Motion by Severson, seconded by Wohlford, to turn the letter from the N. S. P. ~'~-.'. Co. regardin~ lights in front of the Field Rouse, over to the Park Board.for' ~'.""~: .... their recommendation. Roll call - ~11 ayes. Garbage bids: A. Frischmon, $35.00; John Behun $30.00; J. Lakotas $30.00. Motion ]~ Pritcl~ard, seconded by Bentsen, to accept the bid of John Behun for collection of garbage for one year at $30.00 per month. Roll call - Bentsen, Pritcl~d, eohlford, Bassett. Nays: Severaon. Towin~bi~d~: Jacob Hau~en, $1.50 from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. $3.00 from 8 P.M. to 8 A.M. Johnson Service Station - $2.00 an~ time. Motionby Severson, seconded by Wohlford, that the City ~anager cooperate with ~r. Robinson for recreational activities at Silver Lake. Roll call - All ayes. MotionbyBentsen, seconded by Severson, that the City Manager be instructed to get a cost on d~ggin~ a cass-pool to take care of the water on 43rd & Quincy, also other particula~s and to re~ort bask at the next regular meeting. Roll call - all ayes. The followin~ resolution was submitted to the Council. To the Colchis Heights City Council Members: The foregoin~ resolution was unani- mously adopted. ~hereas; The Civic Improvement Association feels that the time has arrived when the City of Columbia Heights is urgently in need of a City ~anager who combines the qualifications of an executibe and a Civil Engineer. In by c~rin~ s~ch amen, thu~ combinin~ the salary of City Manager and En~ineers fees as heretofore paid, the salary expense to the city will be no greater, if as ~reat as in the past., We also feel that this move will greatly enhsnce ef~iciency and eco~ in the bperation of the city's affairs. Therefore be it resolved, that the Columbia Heights Civic Improvement Association in special session does hereby steps be taken ~mmediately to procure such a man poseessin~ such quali~tdations aa outlined above. Roll call - all a~ves. Resolution offered by Pritchard, seconded by Bentzen, that the City Clerk be au- thorized to issue a check for $25.00 to cover oetty cash at the Field House. Roll call - Ail' ayes. Motion by Bentsen, seconded by Pritchard, that the City Manager ~et bids for the installation of the plumbing at the Field House.
