Regular meeting called to order Jan. 24th, 1959 at the City Offices. All members
oresent with the exceDtion of Mr. Severson.
Previous minutes read and aooroved with exceotion, viz; Motion by Pritchs. rd, seconded
by Wohlford, to rescind the action taken on oa~rolmen~s salaries. Ro!~ call - All
ayes.
I~otion by Wohlford, seconded by Pritchard, to cancel the licenses of Mrs. Erna Cox
at 4050 Central Ave. Roll call - All ~ves.
Notion by Wohlford, seconded by Bentzen, that Mrs. Rose Buhil begranted a restaurant
license for 405[' Central Ave. Roll call - All ayes.
Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Bentzen, t?~at the aoolics~tion of Mrs. Rose But~il for
off and on s,~le licenses take the regular oreceedure, but t.~at she be allowed to ooerat~
in the meantime. Roll call - All s~yes.

a dames a~d that the fee be waived. Roll call - All
Motion by Bentzeu, seconded by Pritchard, to turn the oetition for alley imorovement
between 40th - 39th and Central & Van Buren, over to the City l~anager. Ro~i call -
All ayes.
Motion by Wohlford, seconded by Pritchsrd, that the City 1.,[anager accept the chal:enge
of the City Council, ~a~or & City Manager of Auoka with reference to bowling, if the
alleys are ready. Ro!i. call - All ayes.
Motion by Bentzen, seco.~sd by Pritchsrd., to lay the matter of licensing outside Coal
dealers on the ta~le until next regular meeting, to allow for further investigation.

Motion by Pritchard, seconded b? Bentzen, to grant dance oermit for the President's
Birthaay Ball, Jan. 28th, at the New FSeld House, and ths.t the fee be waived. Roll call

the 25th.da~ of Jan. 1939, to bear interest at the rate cf 3% esr annu~,, oayable at
tL.e maturity of ss. id certificate, and 0otb ori:~cioal and interest to become due and
os~yable on the 25~h day of Jan. lb40,, and '~,ereas, There is suffficient money in the
Sinking Fund to take csre oi' the demands thereon, ar~a it is desirable and beneficial
to the City of Coltunbia Heights, Minnesota, to in'~-est moneys in the Sinking Fund in

~nis is the rental charge for dances where tickets are sold to the general o~olic
and includes the oermit cost of $1.00 and a charge for a oolice officer, waich is
$3.00. Wedding~arty or private dance---$12. $17.
An extra charge of $5.00 will be chagged to eveone for the use of the kitchen and
effuipment. Lunches will be served at the Canteen at a minimum charge. It is hope~d
that meeting rooms will be available Soon to local org~aizations at not more than
$1.00 Der night.
Bowline
~he regular standard charge of l~ cents Der line will be charged for bowling. Five
cents of that will go to the boys who set Dins. Aoolications are now Oeing received
by teams and leaguesfor their tiie assi~r~aents to the a!lyes. Be sure and get your
teamm listed at once. For ooen b~wling come down and register or Phone i~ your
reservation. A few days off free playing with women instructors will 'be offered
ladies in the community. This will stsrt and __Jan. _ and__. Come
and register. It will be necessa~, during these days for each lady who plsjfs to pay
