Resolution offered by Pritchard, seconded by Wohlford, The City ~u~i~ of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves: That the Columbie Heights State Bank of Columbia Heights and the 1st National Bank & Trust Co. of Minneapolis be and the s~e hereby are designated as sole public depositaries for funds of the City of Columbia Heights from the date of this resolution thru the calendar year of 1939. Provided however that this designation shall remain in force and effect during the time above describe~ only ac long as the said Columbia Heights State Bank of Columbia Heights and the let National Bank and Trust Co. of Minneapolis keen deposited with the City Treasurer of the City of Columbia Heights a surety bond in the penal sum of twice the amount of the City's funds ~l~ld on deposit by each of said depositaries; and provided w~=mxa~ further that in lieu of such corporate surty bonds the said depositaries ma~v deposit with the City Treasurer of the City of Columbia Heights, together with assignments thereof to the City of Columbia Heights, such bonds as are authorized to be deposited in lieu of corporate surety bonds by Section 197~-1, Mason's Minnesota StatuSes, 1927, and acts ~nendatory thereto, which said bonds furnished by each of the said dApositariea shall have a market value of at least ten ~10%) per cent more than the amount of the City's funds on denosit with each of said depositarits; and provided further that all corporate surety bonde or ~ther bonds ~ud assigr~aents thereof, deoosited with the City Treasurer pursuant to this resolution, must be anproved by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights.
