Previous minutes read aud approved. Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Wohlford, to turn over to the City Manager for proper proceedure, the following petition: The taxpayers on 5th St. from 44th to 53rd want 5th St. graded and surfaced from 44th to 53rd by W.PA. Motion by Pritchard, seconded by Bentzen, the Chester McCallum be issued a license for a cash and carry ice station and one ice truck. Roll call - A~es: Bentzen, Pritchard, Wohlford, Bassett. Np~s: None. Motion by Pritchard, seconded/by ~, Wchlford, that Williams Electric Company be granted a refund of $3.75~paid for a duplicate permit. The Oity Council of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves: Whereas, The {)~ty Council of the City of Columbia Heights by Ordinance No. 14~ authorized the iss~,~.ce of bonds-&f the City of Columbia Heights in the amount of $17,000000, and Whereas, Section Six (8) of said Ord~ce levied on all the taxable property in said City a direct a~uual tax to pay the said bonds as they mature, for the years and in the amounts as follows: 1959 ll~3000. O0 1940 ASO0.00 1941 4500.00 194~ 4500. O0 1943 4500. O0 1944 4500.00 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Auditor of the County of Auoka, State of Minnesota, be and hereby he is authorized, directed and requested to spread and levy as a tax on all taxable property in the City of Columbia Heights, for the years above indicated, the amounts above indicated. Resolution offered by Wo~lford, seconded by Bentzen, The City Council of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves: That the following amount be transferred from the Liquor Fund to the following fund: $500. Police & Court and the City Council hereby finds that there is a surplus in the said #Licuor Fund" more than sufficient to care for the transfer.
