Previous minutes read and approved. Motion by Severson,.secondedby Bentzen, that the letter from the Minneapolis General Electric Company with reference to three year contract be laid on the table for further consideration. C. 9ouglas of Hilltop Golf Ass'n, be granted restaurant, off and on sale licenses for 1938. Roll call - A~es: Bentzen, Severson~ Wohlford, Bassett. Nays: None. MotiOn by Severson, seconded by Bentzen, that Ralph Pohl Post ~367 of the American Legion be granted permit to se~l fireworks at 37th& Central Ave., the location former- ly used by the Columbia Heights Fire DeDartment. (Also that the fee be set the same as last year. $1.00) Motion by Wohlford, 'seconded by SeVerson, that the letter from the 1st National Bank and Trust Comparav be turned over to the City Treasurer for action. Motion by'Bentzen, seconded by Severson, that the renewal of the fir& insurance on the Fire Hall at 570-A0th Ave. N. E, be turned over to the City Manager. That the following improve- ments shall be made on Madison St. in the City of Columbia Heights between 4Otb Ave. & 41st A~m: Concrete Curb and ~utter on each side of the Street. Application of ~black top dressing to surface the street, and that the cost of such local t~provement be assessed against the abutting property.
