Resolution offered~ Miller, seconded by Bassett, that the bills be allowed out of the
prpper funds. Roll call, all a~ves.
Motion by Karrow, seconded by Miller, that the request of Carl Sorenson for Pool Hall
license be granted. Roll call, all ayes.
Motion by Karrow, seconded by Miller, that the City Treasurer be authorized to release
$~,000. U. S. Treasury Bonds, ~, due Aug. 1st, 1941, held as collateral to City de-
posits in Central National Bank. Roll call, all ayes.
Motion by Miller, seconded by Tjosvold, that the City Treasurer be authorized to accept
substitu~&~n of $31,000. U. S. Treasury Notes, 2~%, due Sept. lB, 1938. Roll call,
all ayes.
Motion by Tjosvold, seconded by Miller, tha~ the communication of Jessie Davis, with
reference to accident on 41st and Central, referred to the City At~rney. Roll call,
all ayes. ~
Resolution offered by Miller, seconded by Tjosvold,
~, the City of Columbia Heights is connected with the Minneapolis Sewerage system~
and pays to the City of Minneapolis a certain rental for such connection, and it appears

that the City of Minneaoolis is now in process of outting in a new sanitary system~
which requires a considerable amount of labor and therefore as the City of Col~mbia
~etghts is vitally interewted in, and does pay towards the m~intenance of this system.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights: That
this Cottucil formally requests~ the Council of the City of Minneapolis to aut~horize the
person or persons in charge of emplo~nnent on this sewerx~ system to employ men
resi~ing in the City of Columbia Heights at the ratio of two Columbia Heights resident
to ten of Minmaapolts.
IT IS FURTP~R RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Sewerage
Committee of the City of Minne~polis with the request for i~.~ediate consideration of
the matter and early presentation to the Minneapolis City Council.

Motion by Miller, seconded by Tjosvold, that a restaur~mt, and off and on sale licenses
be granted of Erma Hallen, for 500-AOt~ Ave. N. E., providing formal application i~
made and 'the proper license fees are paid. Roll 'call, all ayes.
Motion by Karrow, seconded by Miller, to approve 'a fill in on the High School gro~mds
for recreational purposes, without cost to the City. Roll call, all ayes.
Mr. Tjosvold, made a report on his trip to Anoka~ and stated that the City would be
given a deed to property known as lots l, 2, $, 4, 5 and 6 of Block l0, Auditor's
Division 'of Walton's Sunny Acres, with the prowizion it be named after an old settler.
