Special Meeting called to order Wednesday, April 19th/ at the High
Schoel Building. All members present with the excep$ion of Mr. Sti~-
son and Mr. TJosvold.
Neetng called for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of
April 17th.
Resolution offered by Karrow, seconded by G~nnon.
A reselutiou d~claring the results of a Charter Amendment Election.
Whereas, The City of Columbia Heights, did, on the 17th day of April
19~3, have a special election for the purpose of voting on a proposed
charter amendment, and
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, did, on the
19th dqy of April, 19~3, at a duly called meeting therefor, canvas the
electiom returns of said election, and
~hereas, the canvas of said election retumns disclosed the following
results, to-wit:
Total votes cast 457
Defective ballots 1
Total Valid Ballots ~
Ballots in ~avor of proposed
Charter Amendment ~5
Ballots opposed to the proposed
Charter Amendment 121
Whereas, the votes in favor of the adoption of the proposed Charter
Amendment are gre~ter in number than three-fifths of the total votes
cast at said election, and
Whereas, the following is a list of the names of the persons who were
the Judges and clerks of said election, to-wit:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED ~Y THE CITY OF COL~MBIA HEIGHTS,
That the propsed Charter Amendment be and same hereby is declared
to be sdopted, and that a copy of this resolution and statement be
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Columbia Heights.
