Previous minutes read and approved, with one exception, viz; that the bills for Dr. Good in the amount of $120.60 and Sam Pederson in the amount of $2.00 be stricken from the records, as they were corrected and appear in the following bills, on motion be Karrow, seconded by Stinson. Resolution offered by Stinson, seconded by Gannon, A resolution reducing certain salaries of officials and employees of the City of Columbia Heights. Be it Resolved by the City of Columbia Heights: That the salaries of the following city officials and/or erm01oyees be =educed and set at the following respectiv~ amounts, to-wit: City Me~ager $140.00 per month City Theaa. & Clerk 110.00 " " Maintenance men be dispensed with. Amendment offered by Tjoswold that the City Manager's Salary be set at $125.00 per month and the City Clerk's salary be s~t at $110. per month, also that the two keep the office o~en Saturday afternoons. Zost without a second. Motion by Karrow, seconded by Tjosvold, that the request of D. A. Smith for renewal of Plumber's License be granted. Roll call, all sves. Motion by Gannon, seconded by Karrow, that the National Tea COmpany be granted an '0F~" license for the sale of beer. Roll call, all ayesl Application by Douglas Weurzinger for ~icense for selling beer. Held over until next meeting to allow for investigation of non-resident. Police reoort read. Motion by Stinson, seconded by Gannon, ti~at Tjosvold be appointed a delegate to go to St. Pa~_l and get information about the Highway sad report to the Co~macil, tsking the 0ity Engineer with him. Be it resolved by the City of Colu3nbia Heights, That, the force of the po!ice department be reduced to two men, ers and the salaries oi' the police members ~ be reduced to $125.00 per month each.
