Special meetln~ called tp prder A~ril 3rd at the High School Building,
at 8 PM. All members present.
Reading of Ordinance ~lO7, which was drawn up by the City Attorney,
also one which was submitted by Conncilman Gannon. The ordinance was
then taken up section by section.
Preamble to Ordinance ~107 offered by Gannon, seconded by Stinson.
Being an Ordinance licensing and regulating the sale at retail of non-
intoxicating Malt Li~uors and providing a penalty for the violation
thereof.
WHEREAS, owing to the excessive delinquency in the receipts from,taxes
and other sources, the receipts from taxes and other sources have for
such unforseen causes bedome insufficient for the ordinary expeases of
the City, and
~gHERE;~S, im~nediate action is necessary to preserve the public peace and
safety,
This Council hereby and under this preamble declares that sn emergency
exists for the immediate preservation of the public peace and safety
and that in order to promptSy meet such emergency it is necessary to
pass Ordinance ~lO7 as an emergency ordinance.
Roll call, all ayes.
Notion by Karrow, seconded by Tjosvold, to adopt Ordinance #lO7 as
an Emergency Ordinance. Roll call, all ayes.
Motion by TJosvold, seconded by Gannon, that the Veterans of Foreign
Wars be granted a permit to hold a dance at Forest Park April 7th.
Roll call- Ayes: Tjosvold, Gannon, Stinson.
