Resolution offered by Stinson, seconded.by Gannon, that the bills
be ~ll~wed. Roll call, all ayes.
Ordimaace ~105, - An Ordinance amending~an ordinance prohibiting
~e use or sale at retail of certain fireworks and providing a
penalty for violation thereof in the City of Columbia Heights -
offered by Karrow, seconded by Stinson. Roll call, all ayes.
Motion by Tjosvold, seconded by Stinson, that the Mayor be authorized
to provide a committee to interview the Reconstruction Finande Corp.,
with regard to the renting proposition. Y~. Welch appointed Mr.
Karrow, and Mr. Ouimette. Roll call, all ayes.
Resolution by Karrow, seconded by Gannon, that the proper City Offi-
cials are hereby authorized and directed to purchase and retire three
$2,000. Emergency Certificates known as 'Poo~ Relief Certificates',
with accrued interest. Roll call, all ~yes.

Central Ave. from ~Tth Ave. to the City Limits of Columbia Heights
at no cost to Columbia Heightm. Minneapolis Engineers are to survey

Resolution offered by Gannon, seconded by Tjosvold, that the poor
bills be ~axxxx allowed. Roll call, all ayes.
Resolution offered by Stinson, seconded bY Gannon, that the City
Manager's salary be cut from $160. to $140. per month, and that he
do the City work with the poor relief, also that the City Treasurer's
salary be cut from $1~O. to ~llO. per month, to take effect April 1st.
Roll call - Ayes: TJosvold, Gannon, Stinson.
Karrow, not voting. Reason: Wants the two jobs cut alike.
Welch, no - ;';~r. Welch recommended that Mr. McKenna be cut
to ;$1~0. per month, and Mrs. Trucker to $120. per month.
Resolution offered by Gannon, seconded by Stinson, that the Police Force
be cut from ~150. per month to $125. and that the force be cut to
two policemen, to take effect April 1st.
Roll call - Ayes: Tjosvold, Gannon, Stinson
Nays: Karrow, Welch.
~,~. Welch and Mr. Karrow, were in favor of cutting salaries, but
not the number of men..
Preamble to Ordinance ~106, being and Ordinance entitled 'An Ord-
inance authorizing the sale by the City Treasurer of $4500. Emer-
gency Debt Certificate', offered by Gannon, seconded by Karrow.

A resolution authorizing and directing the purchase by the Sinkinm
Fund of .an Emergency Debt Certificate in the amount of ~500.00~

1st reading of an Ordinance licensing and regulating the sale at retail
of non-intoxicating malt liquors and providing a penalty for the
violation thereof.
1st reading of an Ordinance prohibiting the sale, manufacture, dis-
position or transfer of, or keeping or having in possession fo~ sale,
disposition oF transfer, .or the soliciting, receiving, or taking any
erder for intoxicatin~ liquor, except for certain purposes, as per-
mitted by Federal Law, defining intoxicating liquor, and providing
penalties for violation of this act.

Council.
