Reg~-lar meeting called to order Jan. 2~, 193~ at the High School Build-
ink at 8 PM. All members present.
Previous minutes read and approved. ~r. TJosvold added that in connedt-
ion.with the disconnection of the Public Relief Telephone, the words 'to
take effect Feb. lst' be added.
Motion by Tjosvold, that the Council go on record to pay the Certificates
in the Sinking Fund for all monies spent in 1932 for Poor Relief, ~nd
that the money to be received from the County will be used for taking up
said Certificates. ~otion lost without a second.
Motion by TJosvold, seconded by Gannon, that the request of Art Loeffler
for renewal of Ice license 'be granted. Roll call, all ayes.
Application of F. HJ. LaMere for dance permit for Feb. 25, held over until
next meeting, for investigation. (Non-resident).
Motion by Stinson, seconded by Gannon, that the request of Mr. Swanson
for renewal of Plumber's license be granted. Roll call, all ayes.
Motion by Gamnon, seconded by Stinson, that the request of Ernest Jahr
for restaurant license for 4050 Central Ave. be granted. Roll call, all
ayes.

Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that
the proper City Officials be and they hereby are authorized and directed
to purchase and retire ~$~000.~Columbia Heights Refunding Bonds 6%, as
follows:
~2000.~ due June 193~ at ~90 and accrued interest
2000.~ due June 19~5 at $88 and accrued interest.
Roll call, all ayes.
Motion by Tjosvold, that the State Auditor be requested to audit the
City Books. Motion lost without a second.
Hotion by Stinson, seconded by Gannon, that ~. Cederberg be authorized
to audit the City Books for the fiscal year ending Dec. ~lst, 19~2.
Roll call, Ayes: Gannon, Stinson, Karrow, Welch.
Nays: Tjosvold.
Motion by Stinson, seconded by Tjosvold, to take all Police Records,
mmke them official, and put them in the hands of the Public Auditor,
exceptimg the Day Book. Roll call, all ayes.

Be it resolved, that the Council go on record, that~when the refund is
received from the County for the Poor Fund, that $~500. of the above
will be taken out and credited to certificat~s as given for money
borrowed from the Sinking Fund, and as much more as possible.

~hereas, the City of Columbia Heights has authorized the issuance ~nd sale
of an Emergency Debt Certificate in the amount of ;~5500., and
7~,ereas, there is sufficient money in the 5inking F~nd to purchase said
Ce!~tificate, and
Now Therefore Be Yt Resolved, that said Emergency Debt Certificate in the
amount of $5500. be purchased by the Sinking ~nd.

the sale of said Emergency Debt Certificate be aFpropristed and distri-
buted to the following funds, to-wit:

property taken for the extension and construction of University Ave. N. E.
out of the Sinking Fund.
Whereas, The City of Columbia Heights has taken certain property for the
extension and construction of University Ave. N. E. owned by the Trustees
of Independent School District ~65, and
~'~ereas, award of dama~s for said taking of said land in said proceedings
has been determined and set to be $500. and,
~hereas, said amount is ~ valid and Just debt and obligation of the City
of Columbia Heights in favor of the Trustees of Independent School District
#65, and
~ere~s, there are no funds or moneys available to ?ayd said debt and
obligation, save and e~cept in the Sinking Fund, and /m
Whereas, said debt and obligation in the amount of ~500. ay properly be
paid out of the Si~king Fund,
Now ThereEore. Be It Resolved By the City of Columbia Heights,
That the proper City Officials be and they hereby are authorized and di-
rected to pay to the trustees of Independent School District ~65, the
amount of ~ $5OO. in satisfaction of said award out of the Sinking
