All members present Motion by TJosvold, seconded by ~tlnson that Councilman Karrow act as Chairman Protem in the absence of the. Mayor. All ayes. Previousminutes. read and approved. Communication from the Hecall Committee by George D. Bowers, requesting the return .of the SbO0. deposited with the City Clerk at the time the Recall petition was filed. Motion by TJomvold, seconded by Gannon that the above communication be referred to the City's begal Advisor for his opinion. Ail ayes. Motion by Tjosvold, seconded by Gannon, that the request of Thcs. E. Russell to operate a restaurant at 838-40th Ave. N. E. be tabled until an investigating committee investigates same. Roll call - Ayes: TJosvold, Gannon, Stinson, Karrow. Resolution by Stinson, seconded_by Gannon, that checks ~55V and ~602 returned by Fred Ossanna, be and hereby are dedlared cancelled. Holl Call'- Ayem: Tjosvold, Gannon, Stinson, Karrow. Motion by Stinson, seconded by Gannon, that the request of Nels Pr. Swensen to transfer his license for operating a gas~station to Earl Godfrey be granted. All ayes. Communication from Fred Ossanna with regard to fulfilment of the terms of his contract by the City. Motion by Tjosvold, seconded by Gannon that this communication be placed on file. All ayes. Application by Milton G. Ouimette for appointment as City Attorney. Resolution by Tjosvold, seconded by Stinson to appoint Mr. Ouimette as legal advisor until further notice, at a salary of $50. per month. Holl Call - Ayes: TJosvold, Gannon, Stlnson, Karrow. ~r. Kozlak reported on the pro~ress -of the University highway Project. Hesolution by Stinson, seconded by TJosvold that the City Treasurer be a~d hereby is instructed to pay the Board of Appraisers on the University Highway Project in the amount of $21Q. and the same to be borrowed from the Maintenance Fund until such time that Certificates are sold for money needed by the City. All ayes. Mr. Karrow reported that a car for police duty had been purchased at a rate of $40. per month. He also reporte~ on the Conmmmtty Fund. Motion to adjourn by Stinson, seconded by Gannon.
