A Resolution determining What pr6perty will be bene~ited by the
following loo&l improvement, to-wit, the grading of 44t~h. Avenue
N. E. between gentrml Avemae and McLeOd Street, and fixing ti~6 of
hearing with respect to benefits and to the proportion of the cost
to be assessed against the property.
· he~as, the City Manager has made a careful estimate of the cost
of l grading A4th avenue N. E. from Central Avenue to McLeod SWgreet, t°-
getherwith & list of the several lots and parcels of land fronting
upon the adjacent to such improvement which he deems benefited there-
by, and the names of the owners of the several parcels as nearly as
could be ascertained and
Whereas, a contract~ for the making of such local improvement
has been heretofore entered into.
Now, therefore, Be it RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Columbia Heights, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
(1) That this C°unoil hereby determines and re-determines to
make such local improvement and determines that the following described
property will be benefited by such local improvement:

at 8:00 o'block P, M..at the High School Building in said City where all
persons interested m~y appear and be heard by the Council with respect
to benefits and to the proportion of the cost of the improvement to be'
assessed against their property,, and that the City Manager be and hereby
is authorized amd directed .to publish a list of all such property,~ to-
'gether with the names of the owners as fs.v as sam~ can be ascertained,
together with a notice of the time and place when and where such person.

Coinucilman/- Sermon seconded the motion to adopt sa~d resolution
and upon rOll call it wa~ unanimously adopted.
ResolutiOn offered by Gannon, seconded by Dahl, regarding the grading
of Tyler Street between $?th and $gth avenues. Passed by unamimou$
roll call vote. .
Motion by D~bl, seconded by Gannon, that the Communication received'
from the attorneys of W. D. Hackett be recordeel and placed on file.
Ail ayes, carried.
Motion by D~hl, seconded by Earrow, that the request of the BergAland
Motor Oompany to operate curb g~soline pumps at 4Bnd and Central be
granted, carried.
.Motion by Stinson, seconded by Dahl, that the C. H. Wills Motors
Oorpora. tion be permitted to alter their contract with the ~ity of
Columbia Heights, re Turniehing of ~ire truck and equipment, in the
respect that the body of such fire ~ruck may be built by the W. B.
Nott Company instead of the Northern Pump Company.

Foster, yes. carried.
Cannon,seconded by Dahl, that the proper city officimls
be authorized and instructed to purchase ffrom the G. B. Heenan company
$7000 worth of City of Columbia Heights, ~iin.n. esota, 6~ refunding bonds,
dated July. l~t, 1950, and maturing serially $1000 on July 1st of each
year from 1933 to 1959, both inclusive, at par and accrued interest.
Passed by unamimous roll call vote.
Resolution by Dahl, seconded by 8tinson, that the appli~cation by
Harold J. Swanson for license to conduct dancing at Forest Park, located
at ~Oth Avenue and Washington street, until October 1st, 19~0, be
grant ed. Carried.
Notion by Dahl, seconded by Karrow that preparation and acceptance of
proposed city budget be postponed tuutil the first meeting in September.
