Motion by Dahl, seconded by Gannon that Karrow act as Chairman pro tern in
the absence of the Mayor. All ayes.
Reading of the minutes. After one correction - relating to the authoriz-
ation of the Columbia Heights Fire Depar~nent League to purchase $1000.
worth of Cit$ Certificates, they were approved.

Second reading of amendment to Fireworks Ordinance #85.
Provision: Section 4 - Requiring a fee of $50.
- Persons requesting license must maintain a
business in, or .be a bona-fide resident of the City of Col~nnbia "eights
for at least three months prior to July 1st of each year.

Be it resolved by the City of Oo!~mbia heights that there be transferred
from the Permanent Improvement Fund, the s~m of $3000. to be paid back

Request from the Volunteer Fire Departmm~ for $150. to pay expenses
to Excelsior, lald aside until next meeting.
Application read requesting license to sell Fireworks on SVth &
Reservoir Blvd. ~,~r. Sa~nson.
~otion by Dahl, seconded by Gannon, that the application of
Samson be denied, as a license had already been granted to. the
American Legion to sell Fireworks at that location. All ayes.
Reading of Bids for Fire apparatus.
Each bidder was then heard from in regard to his bid.
Notion by Gannon, seconded by Stinson, that the Council hold the bids
for consideration, final decision to be given on June 10th. All ayes.

contract for Curb and Gutter, on ~yler St. N. E. 3Vth to 39th.
Petition read from property owners requesting the installation of CuBD
and Gutt~-r on Tyler St, 3Vth to 39th Ave. Fetitlon carried nine. signeps.
Notion by ~tinson, eeconded by Dahl, that the Tyler St. project be held
over until next meeting.
