Mr. Karrow received a call from Mayor Foster stating that the
Council would not meet.
Announcement made to public present, to that effect.
Councilman Dahl and Councilman Karrow proceeded to provide for
an adjourned meeting.
Moved by Dahl, seconded by Karrow that the Council adjourn until
Jan. 20th, and that absent members be notified in writing.

OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS
Special meeting called to order by Mayor Foster, at the High School
Building, Jan. 16th, 1930. All members present.
Mr. Foster stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the
resignation of Mr. W. C. Buck as City Manager and the appointment of
a new City Manager to take his place.
Foster read Mr. Buck's resignation.
Resolution offered by Gannon, seconded by Stinson, to accept Mr. Buck's
resignation. Mr. Dahl wanted to hear Mr. Buck's reasons for resigning.
Mr. Foster said he could be seen at any time at the City Offices. Mr.
Dahl insisted upon hearing the reasons then, and Mr. Buck was called in.
Mr. duck tore up his resignation and said he had reconsidered. His
reasons, he said, were that after Mrs. Trucker had fulfilled the requests
of the City Attorney and the Mayor in two instances, they insisted that
she collect $2000. in addition to the $300. deposited by the leaders of
the Recall ~etitions, also that she refuse to certify the signatures
on t?.~' ~etit~.o~.s. $ .. refused tc do t_.is, and tho ~ayor requested

stated that he ~ould discharge her or he could get omt h~mself. This

Resolution by Gannon, seconded by Stinson to discha_ge ~r. Buck as
City Eanager same to take effect immediately. On R~ll call, Dahl no,
~annon yes, Stinson yes, Karrow no, Foster yes, Carried.
~r. Buck stated he was under bond, and that he would not leave until
he was relaased from same, or until the State Auditors took over the
books for auditing.
Resolution by Stinson, seconded by Gannon, that ~r. ~cKenna be ~
as City Nauager at a salary of ~180. per month, to take effect immediate-
ly. On Eoll Call, Oahl no, Gannon yes, Stinson yes, Karrow n°, Foster
yes. Carried.
