PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR
Mayor Nawrocki asked the Councilmen for their ideas on how to proceed
with the prospect of a Public Safety Director.
Councilman ~orberg stated that this arrangement seems to be working out
for Fridley. He also felt that there should be a hearing held.
Councilman Heintz felt a c(0mmittee of people other than the Council should
be set up to get all the information and recommendations needed. Then a
hearing should be held to get the citizens feelings.
Councilman Logacz thought that the study and hearing was a good idea.
However, he wanted information as to how it works in other communities
now having a Public Sa'Fety Director.
It was decided that a Special Meeting should be set up to carry through
with t~he ideas presented.
Councilman Land left at 7:20 p.m.
