Roll Call: Land, Heintz, Jaycee Banner. Motion by Jeska, seconded by Heintz to authorize the Jaycees Banner across Central Avenue north of 4Oth advertising the Winter Jamboree upon presentation of proof of insurance. Roll Call - All Ayes. Recess was called at 9:20 p.m. The meeting convened at 9:57 p.m. 1971 Salary Resolution. A resolution setting 1971 Municipal Salaries was offered by Heintz, seconded by Jeska, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the following salary schedule be established for 197i effective January. l, 1971. In addition the individual employee's hospitalization .group premium will be paid. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE PERSONNEL: City Manager $19,0OO; Administrative Assistant $13,7OO; City Engineer $16,O00; City Clerk-Treasurer $11,500; Deputy Clerk-Treasurer $9,100; Half-time Accounting Clerk $3.50 per hour; City Assessor $14,O0.O; City Inspector $11,650; Permit-License Clerk $7,800; Manager-Council Secretary $6,300; Receptionist-Cashier $5,100; City Attorney (Retainer) $9,600. CIVIL DEFENSE: Civil Defense Director $2,100; C~il Defense and Police Secretary $7,300. UTILITIES: Billings Clerk $7,300. ASS E,~ENTS: Deputy Assessor $8,900; Deputy Assessments Clerk $5,;~ LIQUOR: Accounting Clerk $7,650; Deputy Clerk $3.20 per hour. FIRE DEPARTMENT: Chief $13,000; Deputy Chief $11,7OO. POLICE DEPARTMENT: Chief $13,000. LIBRARY: Head Librarian $10,O00; Children's Librarian $6,400; Assistant Librarians $2.25 to $3.30 per hour based on training and experience; Library Pages $1.25 per hour. STREET SUPERINTENDENT: $11,300 plus overtime. SEWER AND WATER SUPERINTENDENT $11,300 plus overtime. PARK SUPERINTENDENT: $11,600. Assistant Weed Inspector $60'~"per year. Park Board Ordinance. A discussion was held on Councilman Heintz' request to have a Council member serve on the Park Board. The City Attorney was directed to amend the Park Board ordEance to establish the Council representative on the Recreation Commission would serve on the Park Board. Jeska, absent. Roll Call: Land, Heintz, Invocation was offered by Rev. Kenneth Stewart of Community Methodist Church. Minutes of last regular & special Meetings. It was noted two corrections were to be made on the salary resolution passed at the special meeting, January 28th. The salary for deputy assessment clerk should have been $5,650.00 and the salary of assistant weed inspector should have been set at $600.00. Motion by Land, seconded by Heintz, that the minutes of the last regular and special meetings be approved as corrected. Roll Call - All Ayes.
