Co.12,00.0.00 Total Bills $110,265.06 The Mayor presented the following Proclamation: WHEREAS: There are indicators within our ~K community that the cooperative efforts of our many civic groups and our official civic and governmental organs could be improved, and, WHEREAS: There are indicators that the identity of the community cout~ be improved both from within and outside our community boundaries, WHEREAS: A project has been created as a community wide project to help create a greater feeling of identity and cooperation, a project called "Community Appreciation Month", WHEREAS: This project is to form a foundation for a long range project which will culminate with the community's 50th Anniversary in 1971, THEREFORE: Be it known that March 15th to April 15th is officially declared Community Appreciation Month in Columbia Heights, and that the citizens of our community are urged to participate in this program, and are called on to help in the preparations leading to the city's 50th Anniversary in 1971. NAWROCKI, ~AYOR Motion by Jeska, second by King that the bid on city owned property, 4806 - 4814 Monroe, be awarded to Mrs. Andrew Ocel in the amount of $3700 for each lot, and the special assessments be paid by the buyer. The City Manager is authorized to draw up the necessary ordinance. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King, second by Land that the bids on city owned property on Stinson Boulevard be awarded to Dr. Carr and Dr. Williams in the amounts of $3,501 and $3,701, and the Mayor and City Manager draw up the necessary ordinances and enter into contract with Dr. Carr and Dr. Williams. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Logacz, second by Land to reject the bid from ~.~r. Janeczko on 1224 - 43½ Ave. on the basis that the bid was too low. Roll Call - All Ayes. 21. Motion by Jeska, second by Logacz .that the bid on the motor analyzer be awarded to Atomik Motor Parts in the amount of $1079.20. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King, second by Jeska that tha City Manager be authorized to advertise for bids on construction materials. Bids will be opened at a special meeting March 31 at 7:'00 p.m. Roll Call - All Ayes. Second reading of Ordinance ~694 on snowmobiles. Motion by King, second by Jeska that this Ordinance be tabled until April 14th. Roll Call - All Ayes. A recess was called. order at 10:30 p.m. The meeting was called to First reading of Ordinance ~697 ~au%horizing the sale of Outlot 3, Circle Terrace. A representative from Ford Motor Company was here to see if the Council would consider any further discussion of their agency. Mayor Nawrocki suggested that Ford check out the Hansord Pontiac structure and COuncilman Land suggested that the Planning and Zoning Commission take another look at the Ford proposal. Motion by Land, second by King that the land subdivision request be denied because when the original building permits were issued the division was established t© retain highWay access to both properties. Councilman Jeska reported on a resolution on airports from the Anoka County Association of Municipalities. The City Manager reported on the Fridley sanitation problem. Motion by Land, second by King that the Council shall reimburse Don Jolly for sewer maintenance School expenses of $25.00 Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King, .second by Land that the license applications 'as per list shall be approved upon payment of ths proper fees. Roll Call - All Ayes.
