Roll Call: Land, King, Jeska, Motion by Jeska, second by Logacz that the minutes of the last regular and special council meetings be approved as presented in writing and the reading be dispensed with. First reading of Ordinance # 692 on boulevard parking. First reading of Ordinance #693 on apartment licensing. No first reading of Ordinance #694 on snowmobile regulations. First reading of Ordinance #695 on water improvement bonds. Motion by King, second by Land to grant waiver to allow completion of llth unit in apartment building at 4201 - 3rd Street. Roll Call - Land, King, Logacz - Ayes. Jeska, Nawrocki - Nayes. No action on request to remove tire blocks from alley at 3700 Central. Motion by Land, second by Logacz that Council authorize expenses for ~wo persons to attend Engineers - Public Works Conference. Roll Call - All Ayes. Resolution offered by King, second by Jeska, WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Columbia Heights deems it necessary for the preservation of public peace, health and safety, and WHEREAS, It is necessary for the purpose of constructing and maintaining various utilities and their appurtenances as deemed necessary by the City of Columbia Heights, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the following described land shall be condemned for the purposes of constructing and maintaining various utilities and their appurtenances as deemed necessary by the City of Columbia Heights, to, wit: In, over, upon, under and across Block Three (3), Walton's Sunny Acres 2nd Addition to Columbia Heights, according to the map or plat thereof on file and of record in the Office of the Register of Deeds in and for Anoka County, Minnesota. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. Mayor Nawrocki reported on bus fare increases. Motion by Jeska, second by'Logacz that the City Attorney appear at the hearing on February 13. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. Request by City Manager to purchase mobile radios for'the emergency crews at a cost of $643.00 each. No action taken. The City Manager reported action on sewer contracts with St. Louis Park, Hopkins and Robbinsdale. Motion by King, second by Jeska that the License applications as per list attached, be approved upon payment of the proper fees. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. Motion by King, second by Land that the special use permits be granted upon payment of fees. Roll Call - All Ayes. Councilman Land reported on the Housing and Redevelopment Authority meeting Friday night. - 14. Mayor Nawrocki brought up the Traffic Commission's recommendations with respect to 49th and Central regarding adult crossing guards.
