Special Meeting

Meeting ,called to order' at 5:40 p.m.

Roll Call - Land, King, Jeska,
This special meeting is being held to further consider the request for a
permit to build a 5-unit apartment building at 4318 3rd Street. A field
inspection, was made by the City Council of this area previous to this
meeting and the improvements that are needed were gone over and discussed.
Motion by King seconded by Jeska, that the lot size and width waiver be
granted for 4318 3rd Street, as approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission
subject to the following ,conditions for 4318, 4322 and 4330 3rd St. and that
no certificate of occupancy be issued until these stipulations are completed:
Improvements at 4322 as follows: ~
1. Repair center ceilin~ beam in car port and tie into existing beams and
re-cement the wall.
2. Tuck point and repair the mortar in lower level play area wall and
paint wall. .
3. Replace and repair fence boards on patio parking area, woode~ stairway
and alloutside wooden sections where boards are missing on upper level
patios.
4. Re-set flagstones on front flower beds.
5. Paint al! gutters and downspouts and plywood roof edge s~ffit.
Grading and blacktopping of driveways for 4318 and 4322 to be completed
after construction is finished on 4318, with an appropriate spillway approv-
ed by the engineering department. In the event both properties are not
on the same grade, a retaining wall between 4318 and 4322 must be maintained
to give suitable lateral support. Rear yard areas to be stabilized to
eliminate eros~°n, including land behind 4330 3rd Street. B~ll Call-All Ayes
Reconsideration of temporary occupancy at 3923 Lookout Place. An inspection
of this property was also made before this special meeting.
Motion by Logacz seconded by King, that we deny the consideration for
temporary occupancy permit for apartments at 3923 Lookout Place. Roll
Call - Ail Ayes.
Decision on Liquor Liability insurance policy discussed and Mr. Hollister,
Chairman of our Insurance Committee was present.
Motion by Jeska, that the liquor liability insurance be given to Marsh &
McLennan, Inc. on the basis of price on the combined Single Limit Liability
and Excess Liability, covered by two companies. This motion lost for lack
of a second.
Motion by King seconded by Land, that we accept the renewal policy on
Liquor Liability with the Insurance Committee. RoI1 Call - Land, King,
Logacz, Nawrocki: Ayes. Jeska - Naye.
Motion by Jeska seconded by King, that the City Manager be authorized to
advertise a hearing to be held April 8, 1968, on platting and utilities
for 41~ Avenue,East of ~entral Avenue. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
