BE IT T~EREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Columbia
Heights, that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and directed
to strike from Local Improvement No.581, the amount and interest charged
against the South 30' in the amount of $34.15. Roll Call - All Ayes.

consideration of Taxicab FranChise for Columbia Heigh%s. "We have three
applicants - ~rban Radio Cab Co., Park Taxi Co. and columbia Heights Tax~
Recess was called at 7:17 in order' to,interview the three applicants
separately. The number of cabs they would have operating in, Columbia
Heights was discussed and the location of their dispatching Station,.'
During the. in{ervlew C.H. Taxi Servi~e withdrew their application for
license.

· TheMayor. re~o~ted to those p~esent that the Franchise will not be awarded
until August'.28t~ regular council meeting, and that based on tbS.'fact that
Park Taxi Co. are operating in this general area and that they w~ll set up
their.base 'in COlumbia Heights, they-would be awarded the Franchise,.
The n~xt item for..consideration~was'the request for p~rmission to.~'ld
dances in the Voss Building at 4020 Central Avenue.-. ..
Mr. Ron Geslin, h%s. Brother and a friend were present and Ron Geslin
discussed ~is intended operation with the co~ncil,.as to supervision.

Mr. Robert King, Councilmaa,' left %he meeting at 8:45 p.m.~
The Mayor stated he would wa~t to check with other loualities~where
dances of this'type are permitted.
Motion by Jeska, seconded by Logacz, t~at this matter be tabled until
the August.~8th regular Council meeting, ,for ~further investigation and
