Mr. Brown asked that the hearing scheduled for July 24th, on opening of
42~ Avenue including necessary utilities,, be changed to J%.ugust 14th, so
that the engineering department would have more time to x~ork on this project.

Lot north of them on Reservoir Blvd. from R-3"to C-2; They'are plan-
ning on expanding their building and would also re-locate ~he alley
between Central and Reservoir, %~hich is north of their present property.

No action was taken on item 7. (f) regarding the request of Ron Geslin
to have a Teenage Night Club at 4020 Central Avenue, as there has been
no request in writing to consider this item.
A letter was received from Minneapolis Electric Steel Castings Co. s-~-ating
they have purchased Lot 4 and the South half of Lot 3, and are requesting
rezoning of the part of this property that is now R-3, to C-2 Commercial,
'as they are planning on additional expansion on University Avenue.
Motion by King seconded by Jeska, that the City ~,lanager be authorized to
~advertise a hearing to be held on August 8, 1967, before the Planning and
zoning commission, to consider this request for rezoning, and also the
associated ordinance amendments affecting said property. Roll Call - All A~
Ayes.
Awarding of Fence bid as received earlier in the meeting. ~
Motion by Jeska seconded by King, that this bid be awarded to ~idwest ?;ire
and Steel Products, subject to guarantee that all our requirements are met~
If they are not, authorization be made~ to award to the second low bidder,
Amco Steel Fence Co., and that the City Manager and ~.:iayor De authorized
to enter into a contract for this fencing. Rabulation of bids is attached.

Discussio~ took place on paving of Stinson Dlvd. from 37th to 40th,~ in
%~hich we would share in the expense with St. Anthony village. ~he City
Manager was asked to %~rite a letter to Apache Plaza regarding p~Ving of
Stinson Blvd.
The City Attorney was asked to check.on the fo~llowing:
The method of having a Special ~Iunicipal Judge appointed to serve in the
absence of the regular ~lunicipal Judge.
Check on financial status of Robert Say as to gctting ou~ judgment
satisfied, and report back at the next council meeting.
The~ city Engineer reported the contractor is no%,4 ¥,,orking on paving alleys,
and -;-he work has no~'~ started on installation of curbing and paving of ~.A_tl~
Avenue.
