Re~olution .offered by King seconded by Jeska, BE iT ~REBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer $40,000.00 from the Sewer Fund to the Storm Sewer Fund as per provision of the 1966 Budget of the City; and that there are sufficient monies in said Sewer Fund to ,make such ~ transfer. Roll Call - All Ayes. Resolution offered by Land seconded by King, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer from the Liquor Fund.as follows: $11,000.00 to the Library Fund, and that there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to,make such transfer. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King seconded by Land, that the attached list of proposed election judges be approved as corrected, for the Primary and General Elections this fall. Roll Call - All Ayes. subdivision request received from Gordon Cummens, to divide Lot 11 (Ex. pt. to Ocel) (Ex. pt. to Lyden)Rearr.of Block E, into a triangular lot which would include the house and garage (3861 3rd St.N.E.) Motion by Land seconded by King, that this subdivision request for parts of Lot 11, be approved as presented, on survey. Roll Call - All Ay.es. Subdivision request received from Floyd Foslien, to divide the East 94' of North 135.3 feet of Lot 1, Block 1,Sheffield's subdivision, together with the So.30' of vacated 47th Ave., and that portion of Moon St.heretofore vacated. Motion by jeska seconded by King, that this subdivision request be approved, with current installment of special assessments to be paid and the balance to be divided in accordance with front footage. Roll Call - All A~es. Petition received for water line to serve the No.% of Lot 20 and Lots 21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29 & 30 Sheffield's 2nd Sub. (East side of Central from 45th to 46th) 523 Motion by King seconded by Jeska, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise a hearing to be held September 12, 1966, for watermain install- etlon between 45th and 46th Avenues, East side of Central Avenue. Roll Call - All Ayes. The City Eng,ineer. reported on grade problems in the alley between Central and Tyler from ~5th to 46th Avenues. The Council asked to i~vite inter- ested property owners to meet with them on Monday, August 29th at 7:30 p.m. in this alley midway between 45th and 46-th, to di,scuss these problems. A formal hearing is scheduled at the regular council meeting September 12, 1966 at 8 p.m. on this alley drainage. Sullivan Lake drainage area,discussed by the City Engineer, as to ~hat has been done in this area recently. He also discussed the report from Fridley regarding storm sewer hearing relating to the disposition of the water along ou~ northern boundary and cost sharing. Possibly a special meeting will be set up to discuss this further. ~Ionday, September 15th, Mr. Brown went with ~. Sokolowski to Anoka re- garding condemnation of land owned by Carl Sorenson for utility install- ations West of McLeod Street. ~ .Motion by King seconded by Land, that the license applications be approved as listed, upon payment (Df the proper ~fees. Roll Call - All Ayes,. Motion by King seconded by Jeska, that the matter ~of request for Used Car Permit for Gaylord Johnson~ 3989 Centual Avenue N.E., be brought from the table. Roll Call -.All Ayes. ~ MOtion by Orendorff seconded by King, that the request for used car lot permit at 3989 Central Avenue, be denied on the basis of requested in- formation not supplied. ~ Roll Call - All Ayes. ~s. Kelm, 4319 ~Ionroe St. was present and complained of mounds of dirt that have been placed next to ~er property by the two property owners to the north of her, as it has changed the natural drainage of the back yards. Motion by King seconded by Land, 'that the City Manager be requested to make a report on the change of grade of properties north of 4319 Monroe St.N.E. Roll Call - All Ayes.. The Mayor presented a letter he had received from Donald G. Olson, 1411 - 37th Ave. N.E.., who was quite concerned about the drainage from the Killoren property on Buchanan St., where new houses are being built. The City Engineer was asked to check on 'this matter and notify the developer of this property, to remedy this situation, and make a report to the Mayor at the next meeting. The Mayor announced that the meeting of the Anoka County League of Munici- palities has been postponed to September 28, 1966, at 8 p.m. A report was received from the George M. Hansen Co., written by Mr. Greg Murphy. The council will meet with Mr. Murphy Wednesday, A3ugust 24th at 9 p.m., and also the street department.
