Bianconi Scan Cobstruction Inc. ~orthern Contracting Barbarossa & Sons Petrowske & Ross ~.icDonald-Luben I,!inn-Kota Excavating Northdale Construction Co. Motion by King seconded by Jeska, that these bids be turned over to the City Manager ~or tabulation and report back at next regular council meeting I,iarCh 2Sth. Ro!l Call - Ail Ayes. The re-assessment of Columbia Heights was discussed and the City Manager reported on his investigations and information he had obtained from meeting with State representatives regarding state help in getting this work done. ~T. Lawson was present and agreed this re-assessment should be made but extra help would ]De necessary. Action on this matter was laid over to Monday, March 2Sth,~ when the city manager will have additional information as to cost and when the State would be able to start. Subdivision request frogs Ben Wolke to divide Lot S (Ex.S.30' for street)(Ex. E.165.~' for park) Block 2, Rearrangement of Block C, into four building sites - 68' each, frontage along 2nd Street. No action was taken on attendance at Civil Defense Conference in October at Louisville, Kentucky. !',!r. George Brown reported he would try to attend the Minnesota Bituminous Pavement Assn. Conference in Et. Paul, March 24 and 25. A letter was received from the Director of Anoka County Economic Opportun- ity, Inc. stating they wanted to ~en an office in Anoka County. A letter will be written to get more information. The City Manager reported he had received a letter from }~. james H. Henstey Sanitarian for Edina ~nd Fridley, regarding a complete health program for the City of Columbia Heights, and his charges for same. Discussion on Petition received from residents on 4th and 5th Streets, between 45th and 49th Avenues, protesting the unnecessary commercial traffic on those streets.
