A reminder was made of the budget meeting to be held Tuesday evening,
October 12th at 8 p.m.
The City Engineer reported the Sewer Department will replace a storm sewer
pipe, west of Madison, north of 43rd Avenue, with corrugated pipe in place
of the old concrete pipe, which has separated and shifted causing water-
problems in the adjoining house.
Motion by King seconded by Land, that the City Manager be authorized to
advertise for bids for sewer pipe cleaning compound, to be opened
November 8, 1965. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by King seconded by Jeska, that the license applications as per
attached list, be approved. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.

the building to be built at 4915 Central, asking for Council approval..
Motion by'King seconded by Orendorff, that the action of September 27,
1965 granting permission to build a building at 4915 Central, be amended
to reduce the size of the building from 220x60 to 200x60, and that the
rear yard requirement be reduced from 20 feet to 15 feet, and that the
South side yard requirement be reduced to five feet, and that a fence
beeerected subject to approval of the City Council. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Orendorff seconded by Jeska, that the Mayor and City Manager
be authorized to enter into a contract with Barbarossa & Sons, for Part
5 of Storm Sewer Projects 6416,6505, 6514, in the amount of $18,466.00.

Special Meeting
October 28, 1965
Meeting called to order at 9:05 p.m.
Motion by King seconded by Land, that. P~. Soko~owski be appointed
Secretary pro gem for this meeting.
Roll Call of the Council - All members present.
The purpose of the meeting was to handle certain items, including a
bid award on Clover Pond storm drain, review of Highway ~47 proposals
and consideration of resolutions approving such~lans, and adopting of the 19~
1966 Budget.
Motion by Orendorff seconded by jeska, 'that the bid of Petrowske & Ross
in the amount of 83,345.50 for the Clover Pond storm drain be accepted,
and that the Diayor and Ci'hy Manager be authorized to enter into a con-
tract with Petrowske & Ross for this installation. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
A. letter from District Highway Engineer ~elch was read by Mayor Nawrocki.
In this letter Mr. Welch indicated that the Highway Department would
raise the grade of University Avenue three feet in the vicinity of 47th
Avenue, as requested at our former council meeting. A lengthy dis-
cussion was held regarding the possibility of foot bridges across
Highway ~47 at 42nd Avenue, but ~. McCubrey stated that the cost of
