Motion by Jeska seconded by King, that the city Manager be authorized to
have added to 'the contract of Bolier Construction Co., the installation
of approximately 3500 square feet of sidewalk. Roll Call - All Ayes.

Motion by Jeska seconded by King, that this request be granted as per plans
presented, with parking area waiver and that a special use pe~nit be granted
to allow the operation of a Grocery Store in an RC zone, also that parking
spaces be blacktopped before the building is occupied, a 6-foot screening

privacy fence be erected across the entire rear lot line, and any exposed
block wall that can be seen fro~ -the street be faced with brick or stone,
and any other shops which may later be housed in this building must be approv-
ed as conforming to Section 5.4 of Ordinance 462. The zoning Adh'L~inistra-
tor was designated to approve each shop for occupancy and he in turn would
consult the Planning & _ioning Commission if there is any doubt as to the

Request for a Special Use permit in an RC zone to build a "'Dog House"
Restaurant at 4901 Central Avenue.

according to the plan presented, providing that the sides of the building

recommendation from Planning & ~honing Commission, providing the lot is

Director De allowed an addition'S75.00 in expenses to attend the Annual
Conference of the U.S.Civil Def~ense Council, in addition to 'the $425.00

ized to attend the 47th National Recreation Congress to be held in

The City i'4anager reported the Library expansion plans would be available
for review at the special meeting 'to be held October 4, 1965.
The City Engineer reported the s~ate B~ard of Health has approved our
application for [)'ell rehabilitation with conditions attached, and -that
we can ex!pect the formal statement from the~] within 'thc next week.
The Engineer also reported -that dhe American Pipe Cleaning Co has submitted
a bill in the a.~.'i~ouiit of 7=,`, '

their reoor.~ on October !lth between 7 and ~ p.m.
A Petit-ion has ]}een received ask±~g for the m~ving ,Df a pole which is set
near the alley entrance on 45dh Avenue, between (Sth and 7th, from 45th to
46th. The Engineer reporded after invcsdigation this ~ole was found to
belong to the z-=leph~u%e Co.
Notion by Orcndorff seconded Dy Land, that this petition De placed on
file and that the Engineer De instructed to follow through with the
Utility Company -to try and effect the ~oving of this pole. Roll Call -

The City Attorney reported the agreement with ?ek's Inc. has been completed
which relinquishes their right to use of alley ~.[orth of their ?roperty,
