OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS January 5, 1965
special Meeting
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. All members present.
The purpose of -this meeting is to consider salaries for 1965.
Resolution offered by King seconded by Orendorff, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED
by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, -that the following
salaries and adjustments be authorized for the 1965 calendar year,
effective January 1, 1965:
All full-time City Employees to receive a 78¢ per month allowance toward
Blue Cross and B~ue Shield Hospitalization and Surgical Plans, to complete
the financing of an individual Blue Cross and M-42 Blue Shield Plan.
Personnel in the several departments of the City to receive salaries
and adjustments as follows:
LIQUOR STORE: Manager and Assistant Manager, add $200.00 per year, plus
the afore mentioned hospitalization adjustment. Bartenders
salaries $2.70 per hour, part-time Bartenders $2.47 per hour,
part-time Clerks $1.94 per hour and janitors $2.37 per hour,
plus hospitalization allotment. Waitresses $1.85 per hour, plul
afore mentioned hospitalization allotment.
POLICE
OEPARTMENT: A $50.00 per year uniform allowance is established for each
member of the Police Department, to be used solely for
uniform purchase and replacement, police Clerk-Dispatcher,
shall receive a salary of 25¢ per hour under the equivalent
patrolman position based on longevity.
All personnel considered in the budget adoption of October 13, 1964, to
receive the allotment stipulated in said budget, in accordance with the
attached list of individual salaries enclosed herewith. Salaries in
excess of the October 13, 1964, allowance to be an additional transfer
from the liquor fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all fringe benefits as in effect for 1964
shall remain in effect for 1965. Roll Call - All Ayes.
