Motion by King seconded by McCline, that the meeting adjourn at 9:26 p.m. Roll Call - All Ayes. ~ ' ' MAYOR Secretary to City Council OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Special Meeting .March 19, 1963 Meeting called to order at 7:47 p.m. Ail members present. This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing and,considering a resolution on load restrictions for streets in Columbia Heights. Resolution offered by Nawrocki seconded by King, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, as follows: 1. That commencing on the 22nd day of March, 1963, and continuing until the 15th day of May 1963, and annually thereafter to correspond with the posting of load restrictions on State Trunk Highways in this area., unless sooner terminated or thereafter continued, no vehicle shall be driven or operated upon any street or public highway in the City under jurisdiction of the city where the weight of such vehicle exceed: 4 TON PER AXLE 2. The above restriction shall not apply'on streets designated as Muni- cipal State Aid or County State Aid Routes and State Highways, on which the weight of each vehicle shall not exceed: 7 TON PER A~/~JR This shall not apply to State or County Highways within the City where load limits are established by their respective agencies or departments. 3. Notice of these restrictions shall be published and posted with re- spect to each of such streets abd highways and when so published and posted and restrictions shall be in full force and effect; all as pro- vided in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sec. 169.87. 4. A vehicle in excess of such limits may be operated or driven upon a street or public highway in the City without violation of law when the same is done under Special Permit thereof issued in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Sec. 169.86 which are adopted and made a part here~ffby reference the same as if fully incorporated herein. 5. The Church,bus, School bus and other public transportation vehicle operators are given special permit to proceed with normal operation on their regularly established routes and at regularly established hours, said permits to be issued by the City Manager.
