Hearing held on opening and installation of utilities on California
Street ~7th to 39th. Representatives of the Railroads reported they
are still waiting for a report and stated they are expecting it any day,
but it could be a couple of months more. All they can do is wait as
there is no assurance when it will be. Several residents from this
area were present and most of th~ wanted to wait to see what the
would do. Our City Engineer gave an estimate of $10.00 per running
for each side of street for opening, Sewer and Water, but stated this
would include sewer and water only from 39th to about 225 feet south of
38th and not all the way to 37th, and the people not served would not
pay for sewer and water.

Street opening, sewer and water between 37th and 39th, be denied. Roll
