Motion by Orendorff seconded by McCline, that the bid of AAA House Movers Inc. for all structures on 47th ~venue owned by the City as advertised, be accepted~in the amount Of $3,865.00. Roll Call - Ai~ Ayes. The City Attorney reported on various properties the City is trying to acquire. The City Engineer reported regarding State Aid Streets and also Petition requesting that 40th Avenue between Reservoir and Hayes be made State Aid. He stated the State Aid would not allow the termination of a major thoroughfare at a non-State Aid street. Motion by Nawrocki seconded by Orendorff, that the City Manager be authorized to return this petition to the circulator with an explanation of why it cannot be done. Roll Call - All Ayes. A letter was received from George Gardner, Director Anoka County Library, regarding a Bill before the House of Representatives, which would amend the library Services Act ~ to expand its coverage. The City Manager was asked to check into this to find out how much more they intend to raise and by what means.
