Motion by Nawrocki seconded by King, that the reading of the minutes of the last regular and special meetings be dispensed with and they be approved as presented in writing. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by McCline seconded by King, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise a hearing to be held April 8th, on installation of Sanitary Sewer in either 3rd Street between 42nd and 44th or 42nd Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Street. Motion by McCline seconded by Orendorff, that the request of the City Manager for Mr. Jones of the Fire Department and Mr. French of the Police Department, to attend Civil Defense Training Courses, March 26,27 & 28, be granted and the necessary expenses be paid. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that the request for authorization to send two persons to the Clerks and Finance Officers Schools, at the University of Minnesota, April 9 & 10, be granted with expenses paid. A letter was received from the Recreation Director regarding conversion of the Field House Bowling alleys into a community recreation Center. The City Manager reported Fridley will meet with Columbia Heights Tuesday evening regarding 53rd Avenue. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise for bids on Aggregate, Road Oils and Equipment Rental for 1963, to be opened at the next council meeting, April 8th. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that the license request of Apache Cab Co. be taken from the table and be laid over until the next meeting, April 8th. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. A letter was received from Farr Plbg. & Heating Co. enumerating the corrective procedures they will make to cooperate with our engineering department and plumbing inspector, if a license is issued to them. Motion by McCline seconded by King, that Farr Plbg. & Heating Co. be granted a plumbing license for 1963, and the letter of March 19th be made a part of the permanent file, subject to approval of Plumbing Inspector before license is issued.
