Roll Call - All Ayes. Regarding the request of George L. Walquist for street opening, California between 37th and 39th, Fridley has been contacted and they do not have any plans at the present time for any street developement west of Main St. and north of 40th Avenue. Motion by McCline seconded by King, that the City ~ianager be authorized to advertise a hearing on the opening of California Street 37-39, to be held on January 14, 1963. Roll Call - All Ayes. Request from Rand Realty for permanent street surfacing on ~.Vashington St. between 51st and 53rd and on Sullivan Drive from 7th St. to Washington. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise a hearing for January 2Sth, on installation of Curb,Gutter and surfacing on these streets. Roll Call,- All Ayes. A request has been received from the Minnesota Highway Department to purchase that part of the No.7' of Lot 8, Aud. Sub. No.38, lying westerly of the highway, according to the plat thereof now on file a~d of record in the office of the Resgister of ~eeds in and for Anoka County. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that the City Manager be authorized to draw the necessary ordinance providing for the sale of this strip of land approximately 7',for the sum of $50.00. Roll Call - All Ayes. Recommendation from Planning & ~doning Commission for rezoning from RC to C2, Lots 12,13,14,20 and 21, Revised Aud. Sub.4~lS, as requested by Norman Kinnan. Motion by King seconded by Nawrocki, that the City Manager be authorized to draw up the necessary ordinance for the re-zoning of this land. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. A letter was received from Dewey Albro, Civil Defense Director, suDmittin¢ his resignation effective E~ecember 31, 1962. Motion by King seconded.by orendorff, that this resignation be accepted. Motion by McCline seconded by King, that the resignation of Andrew Chuchwar from the Park Board be accepted as of this date and that the Park Board be so notified. Roll Call - All Ayes. Bids on construction of 'the new Liquor store at 5225 University Ave. were received from the following: Aichinger & Green Bennett & Crowl Berglund-Johnson C.~q. Borresen Antler Corp. Award of bid on GarDage and Rubbish bervice, as per attached bid Tabulation. Motion by King seconded by Orendorff, that the Bid of Gallagher's Service be accDpted for Garbage & itubbish service on a two year contract basis with two year renewal, and that satisfactory arrangements be made for complaints. Motion by Orendorff seconded by i,IcCline, 'that the City Manager and Mayor be authorized 'to enter into a contract with Gallagher's Service for two years with a two year renewal, based upon the award. Roll Call - All Ayes. Hearings were held on assessment rolls for the following improvements: No. 323, 361, 370, 379,399,417,439,442,465,467, 469, 468, 470,480, 484,4~6,4~5,4~7,495,499. Several residents were present who wished to ask questions and gain information. Recess called at 9:10 p.m. 5ieeting called to order at 9:25 p.m. Regarding installation of curb & gutter and surfacing on Polk St. 40th to 41st, Parcel No.3060 on 'the Polk Street side -there will be an Avenue charge of $1.07 per foot on the full footage of 12~ feet.
