Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that John Nelson, 5000 Mulcare Drive, be appointed to serve the unexpired term of Lyle Cox on the Traffic Commission. Roll Call - All Ayes. A meeting was set with the Park Department on April 12, at 7 p.m. The matter of sidewalk installation in various parts of Columbia Heights was discussed and Mr. Isaacs of the School Board was present~ and stated the Schools would only be able to pay for sidewalks on their own property, also they ~ do not think sidewalks on Central between 46th and 49th would be feasible. A letter was received from ~s. Gerald A. Nelson ,4832 Madison St. asking for re-consideration of petition for sidewalk on east side of Madison, 48-49, which was denied last summer. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that this letter be placed on file from Mrs. Nelson, and City Manager be instructed to write a letter acknowledging her letter and that this request is still under consideration. A vehicle in excess of such limits may be operated or driven upon a street or public highway in the City without violation of law when the same is done under Special Permit thereof issued ~n accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Sec. 169.86 which are adopted and made a part hereof by reference the same as if fully incorporated herein. 5. That church bus, school bus and other public transportation vehicles operators are given special permit to proceed with normal operation on their regularly established routes and at regularly established hours, said permits to be issued by the City Manager. Be IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Auditor be authorized to utilize necessary assessment records on file at the City Office of the City of Columbia Heights to verify ~ounts on the various properties. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that collection on current assessment levies shall be made at the City Office of the City of Columbia Heights unless said assessments become delinquent, in which case the delinquent install- ment shall be certified for eollection by the County Auditor.
