A meeting was set with the Park Department on April 12, at 7 p.m. The matter of sidewalk installation in various parts of Columbia Heights was discussed and Mr. Isaacs of the School Board was present~ and stated the Schools would only be able to pay for sidewalks on their own property, also they ~ do not think sidewalks on Central between 46th and 49th would be feasible. A letter was received from ~s. Gerald A. Nelson ,4832 Madison St. asking for re-consideration of petition for sidewalk on east side of Madison, 48-49, which was denied last summer. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that this letter be placed on file from Mrs. Nelson, and City Manager be instructed to write a letter acknowledging her letter and that this request is still under consideration.
