Motion by McCline seconded by King, that this request be denied on the basis of action taken at last council meeting. Roll Call - All Ayes. A request was received from the V.F.W. of Columbia Heights for a Bingo Permit for 1962. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that this request be granted. Roll Call - All Ayes. A request was received from Paul Anderson for any money being held in escrow on special assessments be released. Motion by Nawrocki seconded by Orendorff, that the bonds being held be released and that the escrow agent be notified of this release. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by King seconded~by Orendorff, that the City Manager be granted permis mission to attend a course in public administration at the University of Minnesota, and that the tuition fee be paid. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by McCline seconded by Nawrocki, that permission be granted for one person to be enrolled in the Civil Defense Radef Monitor Instructors Co Course at the Minnesota Highway Training Center, for one week with expenses paid. Roll Call,- All Ayes. An invitation was received to attend the Civil Defense Shelter meeting to be held at Anoka County Court House, Friday, February 16th. A notice was received from the Railroad and Warehouse Commission of a Hearing to be held at the State Office Building, Room 410, St.P&¥1, on February 23, 1962, at 10:30 A.M. Motion by Nawrocki seconded by King, that the City Manager be authorized to cancel check No.129 in the amount of 8823.05, for Cash Register Sales, and a new check issued for the correct ~ount. Motion by King seconded by McCline, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise for bids on a Self Propelled Pneumatic Roller with trade, bids to be opened March 26th. Roll Call - All Ayes. The City Engineer was asked to make a report that would justify this purchase, and also rental costs. Resolution offered by McCline seconded by King, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to enter into a maintenance agreement under date of the 13th day of February, 1962, which agreement provides for the division of maintenance responsibility of 37th Avenue from Main Street to Stinson Boulevard, with the City of Minneapolis. Roll Call-All Ayes. Motion by King seconded by Nawrocki, that the Police Department be authorized to send Officer Kullas to a school at the Bureau of Criminal apprehension, St. Paul, Minn. Motion by King seconded by Orendorff, that licenses granted Benjamin Fisher, 4010 Central Avenue, be cancelled and all fees be refunded, with the exception of $10.00 for administration clerical costs.
