September 8, 1959
Meeting called to-order at 7:10 p.m. Ail members present.
First reading ordinance No.462, An Ordinance regulating the location, size
use and height of buildings, the arrangement of buildings on lots, the
density of population; adopting a district map containing the boundaries
of districts within each ~f which various regulations shall apply; defin-
ing certain terms used herein; requiring the provision or'automobile
parking space; providing for exceptions to certain regulations; providing
for amending these regulations and the map; establishing a board of appeals;
providing for administration and enforcement.and imposing penalties for
violations and repealing.
Mr, Fran Bassett, Fire C~ief was present and asked that the awarding of
bid'on 2-way Radio be delayed until we receive assurance from the
Federal Government that they will participate in paying for this Radio.
First reading Ordinance No.463, Being an Ordinance regulating the use of
Highways within the City of Columbia Heights, incorporating the provisions
of the State Highway regulation act by reference, and imposing a penalty
for the violation thereof.
First reading Ordinance No.464, Being an ordinance amending ordinance
being an ordinance to regulate, the construction, extension, alteration and
repairing of plumbing work with the City of Columbia Heights to provide
for sanitary installation of said plumbing work.
First reading Ordinance No.465, Being an ordinance amending ordinance
No.143, being an ordinance licensing and regulating the sale at retail
of non-intoxicating malt liquors and providing a penalty for violation
thereof.
First reading Ordinance No.466, An ordinance providing for the licensing
of taxicabsrand regulating their operation in the City of Columbia Heights.
First reading Ordinance No.467, Being an ordinance amending ordinance
No.177, being an ordinance to license fh~ sale of cigarettes in the
City of Columbia Heights.
First reading Ordinance No.468, Being an ordinance relating to the
licensing of cafes and restaurants in the City of Columbia Heights.
First reading of Ordinance No.469, Being an ordinance relating to the
regulation and issuance of licenses for new and used car sales in the
City of Columbia Heights.
First reading Ordinance No.470, Being an ordinance relating to the
regulation and issuance of licenses for certain enumerated businesses
operating in the City of Columbia Heights. ,(Bre~,Milk & Beer Delivery)
First reading Ordinance No.471, Being an ordinance amending ordinance
204, being an ordinance regulating heating, ventilating, air conditioning
and licensing of heating contractors.
First reading Ordinance No.472, Being an ordinance relating to the
collection and disposal of ~arbage, and rubbish and providing for
licensing of garbage and rubbis~ collectors in the City of Columbia
Heights.
First reading Ordinance No.473, Being an ordinance ~end±ng ordinance
207 being an ordinance relating to the regulation and keeping of dogs
within the City of Columbia Heights.
First reading Ordinance No.474, Being an ordinance amending ordinance
83, being an ordinance relating to and regulating the sale of ice in
the City of Columbia Heights.
Motion by Chies seconded by King, that the meeting adjourn at 10:30
p.m. Roll Call - All Ayes.
